Geno Malkin just broke Bruce Boudreau's spirit. In a related story, Bruce Boudreau just broke into a KFC for some late night munchies. He was also reportedly finding comfort in a box of chocolates.
Tom Poti is going to kill himself sometime tonight at the request of Bruce "Boohoo" Boudreau.
Basically the lack of calls in either team's favor, Ovechkin's 2 goals and even Boudreau's appetite for flank steaks weren't enough to stop the Penguins tonight.

Epic series, going to be a classic. For the record though, Ovechkin is the best player in hockey which I'm sure matters in Canada somewhere. The NFL draft gets more coverage than hockey playoffs.

ReplyDeleteThe NHL knows the NFL draft gets mroe coverage than the hockey playoffs which is why Gary Bettman creamed his jeans when the Pens/Caps series was announced. It had potential to be really good for the sport.

ReplyDeleteAnd his team is still 1 game away from being eliminated from the playoffs. I *might* be mistaken but I'm pretty sure that hockey is about a lot more than scoring stats. Sometimes Geno's just too busy playing the game to wait for a teammate to pass him the puck to take a shot after milling around on the blueline.
Also seeing a lot of woulda, coulda shouldas in your 1st comment so allow me to ask you to carefully reread: "his 2 goals would have mattered a lot more than they did," meaning they mattered... but not really. Why? His team still lost.
